The thirteenth Doctor elect Jodie Whittaker has appeared in her first interview after being announced in the role.

Popping into Shaun Keaveny’s show on BBC Radio 6 Music, Jodie Whittaker was there to talk about her new series. In ‘Trust Me’, she plays a disgraced nurse masquerading as a doctor. We’ve already got a spoiler-free preview for you to check out.

But, of course, the subject of Doctor Who came up. Whittaker spoke about keeping it secret from her castmates on ‘Trust Me‘ and steering clear of social media. Though she did briefly touch on fan reactions she’d seen and the advice from previous Doctors.

Listen in via the BBC website.

The four-part ‘Trust Me’ starts tomorrow evening at 9pm on BBC One.
