BBC America has just announced that Doctor Who series 10 will premiere on April 15th at 9/8c followed by Spin-Off Series ‘Class’ at 10/9c.

This is a US premiere for this spin-off, an 8-part series written by young adult writer Patrick Ness. Episode one of the show stars Peter Capaldi in a guest role as the Doctor. You can find out more at our dedicated pages.

This good news follows the sad news from earlier tonight that Peter Capaldi will be stepping down as the Doctor following the Christmas Special of 2017. The announcement came on Jo Whiley’s BBC Radio 2 show.

His final series will see him star alongside new companion Pearl Mackie (Bill), and Matt Lucas (Nardole) with guest appearances to come from David Suchet and Michelle Gomez.

Series 10 also premieres on BBC One on April 15th, time to be confirmed.
