Our friends over at ‘Who’s at the Playhouse’, a special celebration of Doctor Who companion K9 are giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets to their special evening of chat with the man behind the voice of K9 – John Leeson.
On October 1st in an event titled ‘A Dog’s Life’ John will retrace some of his steps across a freewheeling and multi-faceted career. A career that includes jobs as an actor, a hospital porter, a (failed) encyclopedia salesman, a radio and television continuity ‘voice’, a question-setter for the BBC’s ‘Mastermind’, a wine educator and writer, a magistrate, a collaborating playwright, a local political candidate and a provider of on-screen food for ‘Poirot’ – PHEW!!!
And on top of all that he found himself as ‘the voice of K9’ for nearly 40 years. How did that happen?
The special 45-minute one-man show, followed by a Q&A and book signing will take place at the Epsom Playhouse on October 1st from 7:30 pm.
