Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi is expected to be among the stars walking the red carpet on Sunday at the BAFTA Scotland Awards.

Capaldi will be joined by Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat as they wait to see the outcome of the Best Actor Television category. Capaldi is nominated alongside Douglas Henshall for Shetland and Outlander’s Sam Heughan.

Other stars attending the glittering ceremony include Outlanders stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, Vicky McClure star of the BBC Drama ‘Line of Duty’, X-Men star James McAvoy, broadcaster Muriel Grey and BAFTA Vice President for Film Barbara Broccoli OBE.

Director Douglas Mackinnon has also ‏received a nomination for his work on Sherlock: The Abominable Bride. Mackinnon has also played a huge part in the creation of Doctor Who over the years getting behind the camera for such episodes as ‘The Power of Three’, ‘Listen’ and the 2015 Christmas Special ‘The Husbands of River Song’.

The ceremony takes place on Sunday 6th November at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, hosted by Edith Bowman. You can watch LIVE from 7pm GMT. See the player below.
